Frequently Asked Questions
If you can't find the answer you are looking for, please give our office a call and we will be happy to provide more information.
What is the cost of assessment?Total evaluation cost varies per case and will be discussed in detail during the first meeting. Cost of the intake meeting will be discussed during the scheduling phone call with our office staff. Payments can be made in segments throughout the assessment process with payment in full expected by completion.
Is insurance accepted? While some providers are paneled with certain insurance companies, generally evaluations/assessments are not covered by insurance. Certain parts of the assessment process (ex. initial intake session, results review session) may be able to be billed directly or submitted for reimbursement through your insurance plan. Details will be discussed at intake!
Can I pay for the evaluation myself?Regardless of insurance status, all evaluations can be paid for out of pocket. Given that parts of most assessment processes (ex.testing, scoring, report writing) are not likely to be covered by insurance, most clients pay at least a portion of the cost out of pocket.
What age range can be seen for an evaluation? While the appropriate age range can vary depending on the purpose of the assessment, we see clients of almost all ages. From as young as preschool age through elderly adulthood, we can work with you to get the answers you or your child have been looking for.
What can an assessment help me with?Obtaining an assessment or evaluation can be helpful in many ways. Whether you want to confirm a diagnosis, better understand yourself or your child, rule out possible differential diagnoses, further inform treatment, or obtain services/supports. The answers gained through the process of assessment can help make the path forward more clear.
What happens after an assessment is complete? We hope that each client will reach the end of an assessment with a better understanding of themselves and ways to positively move forward. Many times our clinicians will recommend treatment plans and/or programs that may help to address the present concerns. If so, we will provide referrals, contact information, and other assistance needed.
What payment methods do you accept? If self-paying for an evaluation in-part or in-full, we accept payment via cash, credit/debit card, or HSA.
